Prosjekt: The War- Eiker
Literature about the war

The book "Eiker in War", written by Odd Myklebust and published by Eiker Historielag in 2004 and 2020, is the overview work about Eiker in the years 1940-1945. In addition, a number of other books and articles have been written on this subject. An overview of this can be found on local history wiki:
Eiker bibliography, sections 355-359: War and military affairs
War memorials and war memorials

Several war memorials have been erected in Eiker, and there are physical traces and places that are connected to the war history. Many of these places are now registered in the map service kulturminnesøk.no, and an overview can also be found in lokalhistoriewiki:
Photo from the war

Few photographs were taken during the war, partly due to a lack of film, but there are still some pictures from daily life, as well as a number of photos taken by Milorg in the final phase of the war, including at the cell camps at Holtefjell and Jungerkollen and during the peace days in May 1945. Eiker Arkiv has registered and posted 120 photos in the local history wiki category:
Filmer om krigen

Vi kjenner ikke til at det eksisterer film som ble tatt opp på Eiker under krigen. Derimot er det gjort opptak under Holtefjelldagen og andre arrangementer, intervjuer med veteraner har blitt filmet, og det har også blitt laget dokumentarfilm. Bruk lenken under for å få tilgang til dette:
